Job Summary:
The Food Rescue Coordinator will work closely with the Food Procurement Senior Supervisor to manage and develop the food rescue program. Along with regularly creating and compiling reports, the Food Rescue Coordinator will work closely with donors to maximize donation potential.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Retail Rescue Donation Programs. Work with retail stores and other donors to develop and strengthen relationships and amount of food donated.
- Identify and prioritize new accounts for development into donors.
- Work with the agency relations team and individual agencies to coordinate the “enabling of agencies” direct pick-up by agencies from donor programs.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure consistent pickups in-line with program goals. Troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Implement Meal Connect database with donors, agencies and volunteers.
- Prepare weekly, monthly and annual reports, as needed for the department and all programs.
- Monitor and analyze program metrics to determine overall success of the program; identify trends and opportunities and recommend new initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field of study, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of relevant work experience.
- Prior Sales experience is a plus.
- Prior work or volunteer experience in non-profit is a plus.
- ServSafe Certification a plus, must be able to pass the test within 3 months of employment.
