"Before Nutrition Pathways, my blood sugar was very high.  Now, for the first time, I genuinely feel I can stay on this path thanks to what I’ve learned."

Access to Nutrition. Pathways to Health

Food insecurity isn’t just about having enough to eat — it’s about consistent access to nutritious food that supports good health.

At Island Harvest, our team of registered dietitians, nutrition coordinators, Community Empowerment staff, and a social worker connect individuals and families with healthy food, nutrition education, and essential resources directly and through our network of partner food pantries, soup kitchens, and community centers who we train to optimize health outcomes.

We prioritize fresh, nutritious foods in everything we distribute to the community.

Through our Nutrition Pathways: Food as Medicine partnerships with healthcare providers across Long Island, we work one-on-one with patients experiencing food insecurity to support better health through nutrition.

We also offer interactive workshops, cooking demonstrations, and food tastings that teach practical ways to prepare affordable, healthy meals.
