Nourishing Health, One Meal at a Time
At Island Harvest, we understand that food insecurity isn’t just about having enough to eat — it’s also about access to nutritious, wholesome food to support a healthier lifestyle.
That’s why our team of Nutritionists and a Social Worker work hand-in-hand with individuals, families, and our partner food pantries, soup kitchens, and community centers to improve health outcomes through education, empowerment, and practical support.
Through our Nutrition and Wellness Programs, we offer interactive workshops, cooking demonstrations, and food tastings designed to build skills and promote healthier eating habits. Participants also receive easy, budget-friendly recipes to help them make nutritious choices every day.
Our reach continues to grow through our Food is Medicine partnerships with hospitals and community-based organizations across Long Island — all working together to support healthier communities.
