On a very windy, Sunday, November 2nd WBAB and WBLI held their annual Touch A Truck event at the Smith Haven Mall. Admission to the event was non-perishable food items for Island Harvest. The Long Island community came out in force donating more than 8,600 pounds.
Congratulations to Cub Scout Pack 601 from Mount Elementary School in Stony Brook. They participated in our Hunger Awareness Campaign for one week at the end of October and collected over 2,600 non-perishable food items and personal care products and over $300 in spare change to assist us in our important work! Way to go!!
Thank you to our friends from Chase for your support and for joining us on Saturday! The 2000 pounds sorted and packed will help supplement almost 1670 meals!
