Becoming a Member agency
Thank you for your interest in becoming an Island Harvest Member
Agency. Island Harvest welcomes all qualified emergency feeding and
community food programs to become a part of our network. Our member
programs include soup kitchens, shelters, food pantries, low-income
daycare centers, senior, youth, outreach and rehabilitation centers
within Nassau and Suffolk County.
Island Harvest reviews letters of interest for new members on a daily basis. All letters of interest will receive a response.
CRITERIA FOR MEMBERSHIP
To find out if your organization meets the eligibility criteria for membership, please answer the following questions:
1. Are you a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization?
2. Do you have a tax exempt number?
3. Do you have proof of operations for the last three months?
If you have answered yes to all three, you are one step away from becoming a member.
If you satisfy all the eligibility criteria, we encourage you to send us the following:
1. A Letter of interest with a brief program description
2. A copy of your 501 (c)(3)
3. A copy of your sign-in sheet/proof of operation for the last three months.
4. The original signed and dated agency application
5. The original signed and dated agency agreement
6. A copy of your food safety certification.
