Life Cycle Events
Weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and graduations are chances
to make some noise, and make a difference! Here’s how:
• Donate your surplus food. Island Harvest will make arrangements with your caterer
to rescue any excess food. There are no additional costs to the
event host or catering facility for donating the excess food.
• Make
a contribution in lieu of a traditional favor. A tax-deductible
donation can be made in honor of your guests. Click here to donate
• Create theme centerpieces.
A beautiful basket of seasonal fruit (whole), toys, personal products or packaged food that can be donated
to Island Harvest after your celebration.
• Spread the word. Let your guests know you're helping to end hunger on Long Island! Island Harvest can provide sample
text for
a table
tent card or scroll so you can inform your guests of your generosity
and introduce them to Island Harvest's mission.
