Food Assistance Resources
SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program): a federal nutrition program which helps low-income people buy the food they need to stay healthy.
CSFP (The Commodity Supplemental Food Program): provides supplemental food to New York State residents ages six and under OR 60 and over.
Summer Food Service Program: federally funded program operated nationally by the USDA that offers free lunch during the summer months to all low-income children ages 18 and under at various sites throughout the community.
WIC: Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children... For supplemental, health-care referrals, and nutrition education for low income pregnant, breastfeeding, non-breast-feeding post partum women, and infants, and children up to five who are found to be at nutritional risk.
