Mobilized Interfaith Coalition Against Hunger
MICAH's mission focuses on education and advocacy for the services,
programs and public policies that remove the barriers to food security
on Long Island. MICAH is now a program of Island Harvest. Read More
A food pantry that delivers food directly to hungry
people in need of food, and has been developed to enable us to increase the
availability of nutritious perishable, and non perishable items in low income
and senior citizen neighborhoods. The pantry can be stocked with items such as
rice, canned protein, pasta, and breakfast items, as well as vegetables,
fruits, bread, meat and poultry. Read More
Beginning Fall 2011 - Long Island has the second largest
veteran population in the United States.
To help the many that are struggling and in need of food assistance, Island Harvest is launching Operation:
HOPE – a new program specifically designed to assist veterans and
