Volunteering on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day:

Many of our member agencies have notified us that although they appreciate your interest in volunteering on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, their opportunities to serve food are filled. It is recommended that you contact your local religious organizations, senior community centers, or nursing homes. You can also visit the Long Island Volunteer Center website for additional opportunities, www.1-800-volunteer.org.

Please keep in mind that Island Harvest would certainly appreciate your help with our holiday activities that will continue until the end of the year. Visit our website for more information on how you can volunteer with us. Volunteer page     Return to top
