Allied Physicians Group Food Drive a Success!

Capital One Supermarket Challenge a Success!

On November 7th nearly 30 staff members from local Capital One branches joined Island Harvest in a Supermarket Challenge!  Going out to 8 grocery stores around Long Island, they collected 33 turkeys and more than 3,500 lbs of food!!  Thank you Capital One for all of your help this holiday seasons!

Thank You Nassau County Police Unions

On Veteran’s Day Island Harvest was proud to partner with the Nassau County Police Unions for a food drive to benefit the Operation: HOPE Program.  Together they raised a total of 4264 pounds supplementing approximately 3553 meals for our Veterans and their families and 89 Turkeys!!!  The food was collected at King Kullen of Rockville …

Thank You Cub Scout Pack 601

Congratulations to Cub Scout Pack 601 from Mount Elementary School in Stony Brook.  They participated in our Hunger Awareness Campaign for one week at the end of October and collected over 2,600 non-perishable food items and personal care products and over $300 in spare change to assist us in our important work!  Way to go!!

Unilever Stuff-A-Truck is a Success!

A HUGE Island Harvest THANK YOU to Unilever and Stop & Shop, Levittown for your Stuff-A-Truck event!  With the awesome support of K98.3 and Island Harvest volunteers, 1,275 lbs of food was raised supplementing 1063 meals!!!

Town of Oyster Bay College Soccer Challenge Helps Island Harvest

A HUGE Island Harvest THANK YOU to the Town of Oyster Bay on hosting a food/fund drive during their College Soccer Challenge and Youth Soccer Festival at a Field of Dream, Massapequa on August 17. Spring Students Feeding Students Challenge Results

    Congratulations to the top three schools for raising the most food in our Spring Students Feeding Students Challenge 1st Place – East Moriches Middle School 2nd Place – Floral Park Memorial High School 3rd Place – Mt. Sinai High School Together they raised 5210 lbs supplementing approximately 4342 meals!!! THANK YOU!!!
